The spawn of the primal Khaos (Chaos).
Erebos is the Darkness Under the Earth but above Tartaros (Tartarus); thought to be the abode of the wicked after death; Nyx, also a child of Khaos, and Erebos conceived Aither (the Upper Air) and Hemera (Day).
