Aphrodite is, perhaps, the most misunderstood of the immortals. Her independent birth and her Charms have given her such a complex history that most stories try to ‘smooth her over’ with lovey-dovey cliches and well meaning idealism. The heart of the sea beats in her breast... and therein lies her power and her passion.
