Aphrodite was loved and honored in Troy but she was much older than Troy and the Trojans. According to one ancient text, Aphrodite is only slightly younger than the hills and mountains. She is much much older than Zeus but not as old as Kronos, Zeus father. The whole story can be found in Theogony by Hesiod.
