The West Wind is known as Zethyros.

The Zither doesn’t necessarily sound like the West Wind but the name was so close I couldn’t resist the pun... after all, these questions (and answers) are supposed to be Fun!

The Zither is a string instrument that you don’t see too often. It’s more sophisticated than the instruments the ancient Greeks used but still, they were similar in construction. The strings are plucked and the wooden body resonates with a droning sound. I believe this resonating string sound might be comparable to the type of music ancient Greeks might have called ’folk music’. Listen to a Zither if you can.

This Fun Fact was taken from Theogony by Hesiod.
